Spread the love

The CBSE Board 2025 results for Class 10 and 12 are about to be announced, thrilling over 44 lakh students across India. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is wrapping up evaluations, with results expected between May 7 and May 12, 2025, based on last year’s May 13, 2024, release. A fake notice claiming a May 6 result was debunked by CBSE on May 4, 2025. This article covers how to check scores, what to expect, and next steps, all in simple English.

When Will Results Come?

CBSE is likely to release results in the second week of May, possibly May 7–12, 2025, around 1:00 PM IST. Class 10 exams ran from February 15 to March 18, and Class 12 exams ended on April 4. Evaluations are nearly done, but no official date is set. A senior CBSE official said results won’t come before the weekend. Check cbse.gov.in, results.cbse.nic.in, or cbseresults.nic.in for updates. Keep your roll number, school number, admit card ID, and date of birth ready.

How to Check Your Scores

  • Visit cbse.gov.in, results.cbse.nic.in, or cbseresults.nic.in and enter roll number, date of birth, school number, admit card ID, and security pin.
  • Use DigiLocker (digilocker.gov.in) with Aadhaar or mobile number; activate at cbseservices.digilocker.gov.in.
  • Download the UMANG app for easy access with roll number and school code.
  • Send “cbse10” or “cbse12” with roll number, date of birth, school, and center number to 7738299899 (verify number later).
Digital marksheets are temporary; collect originals from schools. Save PDFs and report errors like name or marks to your school immediately.

What to Expect

  • Students: ~24.12 lakh (Class 10), ~17.88 lakh (Class 12) across 7,842 centers.
  • Pass Rates (2024): 93.60% (Class 10), 87.98% (Class 12). With easier 2025 papers, expect Class 10 above 94% and Class 12 at 88–89%.
  • Trends: Girls outperformed boys in 2024 (94.25% vs. 92.27% for Class 10). Trivandrum led Class 12 at 99.91%.
CBSE won’t name toppers but will give merit certificates to the top 0.1%. Grace marks may help students pass if short by 1–2 marks (33% minimum).

After Results

  • Compartment Exams: If you fail one or two subjects, exams are set for July 15–22, 2025, with results in August.
  • Revaluation: Apply in May/June for answer sheet photocopies (₹500–700), then verification (₹500/subject) or re-evaluation (₹100/question, refundable if errors found). New process requires photocopy first.
  • Next Steps: Class 10 students pick streams; Class 12 students apply for colleges or exams like JEE/NEET.
Avoid fake news and use only official sources for updates. Download marksheets from DigiLocker for safety.
